The HM Treasury has issued a new Direction following a few amendments.
So, while we all thought that as we rang out 2020 and embraced 2021 that our lives would return to some sort of normality – whatever the new normality looked like.
The furlough scheme has been extended until the end of April 2021 with the government continuing to contribute 80% towards wages.
Last night 1 December, HMRC issued a number of amendments to their on-line documents relating to furlough, mainly to remove out of date information relating to the scheme prior to 1 November.
Last week we sent out a newsletter on time limits for furlough claims. On the 19th of November, the Government issued a list of what they deem as a reasonable excuse should your claim fall outside of the time limits.
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is to be extended until at least 2 December 2020, and the Job Support Scheme is now postponed until the Government advises.
